This was Josie's own idea. She asked me a bunch of questions about what I liked and then wrote down the answers. Her spelling is a tad idiosyncratic, and she reverses some letters now and then.
I'm wondering if this was inspired by her teacher or someone encouraging children to reach out to their elderly relatives.
I love how she spelled spider.

Such a smart cookie that one! Love the trees and changed sun/sky. It means she thought of a better way, for her, to depict it! Cool!
It does sound almost like a teacher's suggestion, and if so it was a good one. She's seeing you as an individual with your own preferences. I'm not sure many kids see their grandparents that way -- but then most children don't have their grandparents so actively involved in their upbringing. Josie is a fortunate girl.
