Asheville

In Asheville for a faculty reading at Malaprop's on Sunday, I couldn't resist the view from the parking garage.

I love peeking into these lives . . .

(and imagining the different people who live in these apartments . . .)

Someday, when it's not bitter cold and windy, I should really take my camera and walk around the city before the rising tide of new buildings engulfs everything old.

Someday . . .

Yes, that's the advantage of going round and round in the parking garage, getting such a great peek at Asheville from on high! I have even done such at night. Good pics, especially the 3 apartment balconies with such diversity!

I so wanted to go hear you speak at Malaprops, and meet you!, but my driveway got iced in and I was hunkered down. Sweet observations of downtown Asheville.... so much to see when you look through a lens.

The light was just perfect for your beautiful photographs. It never gets old, does it?

Some interesting buildings. The top domed one looks like a shrine.
