Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
Bet the chickens are glad to be uncooped!
Do the broiler chickens know you call them that?
my dads neighbors have chickens....and they roam all over the hill...the broiler chickens...i am with june, that made me laugh...
I can only say that those b_____r chickens have a very good life right up to the last few seconds... would that all of us could say the same.
Those female cheekins sure must have a happy life with such a handsome rooster to come a courting.
Life on the farm is wonderful in all seasons. Lots of hard work but seeing the results are well worth it.
