UFOs?

On my way to  do some shopping,  I was kind of stunned by what I saw in the sky . . .
..
UFOS?

Or possibly lenticular clouds ...

On the way back home, the spaceships were gone, but I had to stop and get a picture of what I think is the shiny roof of our house in the distance

And more clouds. . . and more. . .

Well, Blogger got my hopes up by actually posting a scheduled post yesterday. Today, however, Blogger thumbed its nose at me and said Nyaa, nyaa, nyaa, nyaa, nyaa....

So here I am, better late than ...

I like that you perhaps saw your shiney roof from the road on the way home. But I'm more concerned that you were on a road where all the signs were pointing the other way...indicating perhaps you were on the wrong side? I know it's not what happened, just an assumption on my part. But if there were UFO's, you know they could look like just about anything!

Blogger hasn't even teased me by posting a scheduled post yet. But I did recognize the spot where you photographed your roof in the distance. Jim

I have dozens of photos of clouds from my most recent trip across country. They fascinate me, and your photos are lovely!

Cloudscapes can be fascinating. Are you sure you didn't see UFOs? Perhaps your house has been invaded in your absence and that's why the roof shone?

My, you do live in a wilderness, seemingly.

I bet there were alien spacecraft using those amazing clouds to hide behind...very cool. ;-)

Interesting formation of clouds. To me it almost had the shape of a dolphin jumping out of a body of water. -- barbara

Playing catch up here - I've missed a lot - but glad i caught these clouds. Oddly enough I'd never heard of them until we had some a few months ago. They got quite a lot of news coverage locally as they're unusual - but I was at work and missed them.

We had some unusual lights in the Northeastern sky earlier in the year. We thought they were lightning but they were too regular, every minute on the minute. A piece of electronic equipment used with my cousin's telescope stopped working suddenly. It hasn't worked since according to him despite new batteries, calling the manufacturer, etc. There are strange things in these hills. It is fun to conjecture about them.

Barbara -- I too am puzzled by that. Blame it on aliens.

Those clouds are spectacular aren't they Vicki. One of them looks just like the ghost of Concord flying across the sky (tear in eye).
Your house, if it is, is quite high up in the mountains. No wonder you have such splendid views all round.

Lenticular clouds. Whew! Saw those once here. Good to know UFO's were NOT watching me take my power walk.
