Powerless

Yesterday Blogger was being cooperative and let me post a bunch of pictures in a draft ... I figured I'd write something later in the evening. The we had a huge rain storm and our power was off from about 5pm till 5:30 this morning.

So, after getting last night dishes done and laundry started, I sat down to finish today's post...

And the power went off again.

After about an hour and a half it came back on.

But I'm not taking chances -- I'm posting this now.

Hi Vicki...I was surprised your blog wasn't posted when I logged on this morning. You've spoiled me with your good words regularly here...so sorry you had elec problems...but remember that real power is in the earth, air and water...as well as the gorgeous plants and trees you share with us. Electricity isn't really power. But it's certainly something we all have been relying upon for a while. What a pain to live without something we're used to! I dare say you had your oil lamps available any way!

We are so dependant on electricity now, scary really. These photos were worth the effort to post though. I especially like the storm clouds across the valley - wow. You must seem to feel much closer to elemental nature out there.

Beautiful photos. I envy where you live. AZ desert is so boring to me.

I'm sorry you were so inconvenienced by the rain! So annoying when a power cut comes.
Your pictures are lovely, as always. Everything looks so new and fresh there.
