Drunk on Spring

The world is clothed in every shade of green. . .

Trees burst with life . . .
Pasture grass grows sweet and tender  . . .

May pops blossom . . .

The woods are a tapestry . . .

Yellow trillium catches the sun . . .

Dark trunks, chartreuse foliage, and a winding white road . . .

Spring greens against a spring-blue sky . .
.
I am drunk on Spring!

I can sure see why you are drunk on it, it's lovely!

Oh you describe it so beautifully it makes me positively ache! The flowers always bloom first in blogland - we're still melting the snow up here (she says as it's falling outside, but at least that's a light, wet, spring snow I won't have to shovel).

You, when drunk on spring, say things more lovely, perhaps, than the view itself...which is quite hard to do.

You found a may apple flower! We kept looking and looking last week on our hikes, but only saw buds. We did see some beautiful red trilliums however.

And no fear of a hangover, unless this past week's Dogwood Winter frost counts as one. Jim

Even the hangover will be sweet.

I particularly love the photo of the Mayapple blossom. I did not realize until this year those intriguing little umbrellas had flowers!

Those lovely fresh greens against the blue sky, blossom.. such a treat and a thrill. I love it - and your photos are lovely. It might look like that here, in parts, but it's too freezing cold to go exploring!
