Willa Update

The new addition to the pack is doing great. Maggie doesn't love her but she puts up with the puppy.
Willa is intensely interested in food -- hers, the other dogs', and ours.  She's had her first puppy shots and she's learning to put up with being rudely sniffed by Ali Ali.

Willa decided the first night that she should sleep on our bed. . .
She seems to be housebroken and whines to go out when it's necessary. We keep her on a leash as she's not yet trained to come to our call.

"An interesting concept," she says, "but first I need to follow this rabbit smell and what's that under this bush..."

How lucky that she is already housebroken! That's my kind of dog!

Ah yes, you are lucky she would rather "go" outside. I've had a little brainless foster dog since last June, he still comes inside to do his biz. :(

As soon as she learns to come when you call, she will know The Best Of All Possible Worlds . . . the freedom to be a wild dog and the comfort of being a beloved cared for pet.
I do love that first picture!

I love the first shot, best. A picture of tolerance.

What a sweet puppy and bet she's thankful to have found such a wonderful home. Bet it won't take long to get her fully trained.

Looks like Willa is snug as a bug in a rug. What a sweet face.

I agree with Ms. A - housebroken is how I want my dogs from now on.

She has a very sweet face. I think she will do very well with your "pack!"

That first photo is great! What sweet and patient dogs you must have. I love Willa's adorable little puppy face. I've been lucky with housetraining too, it's been many years - decades actually - since I've had to really work to housetrain a dog. I forget to be grateful, but some of the comments reminded me!

(Is anyone else having trouble with blogger? Sometimes my comments won't "take" - or they show up twice, as happened just now. And then suddenly, I can't open blogs or comment at all. I tried Google Chrome and IE and same thing. If I wait 10 minutes and try again, it generally works. But how annoying!)

She's darling! I being the mother of five (three dogs) and (two cats) understand additions to the pack all to well.

What a happy little girl she looks now! Sounds like she might have a bit of that beagle nose in her though! Love the picture of her and Maggie---maybe Maggie looks like her mom (Much to Maggie's dismay I'm sure...) ha... Love that you took her in.
