Very peaceful! That first photo sort of reminds me, oddly enough, of the jungles of Southeast Asia. Brought back a flash of memory of Borneo on a rainy day.
Lovely, Vicki. I haven't been dropping by often enough. Thank you for visiting my Little King. The sun is shining through autumn leaves in my window right now and I'm trying to wake up with another cup of coffee. Have a glorious weekend.
I can certainly see the mist in your pictures. Lovely muted colours too. How does that little house stop itself merging into the background with all that life around it, I wonder?
Looking forward to the book next week and to our just-about-annual trip to Waynesville. Can't wait to see the mountain views for real, tho I do appreciate your pictures the rest of the year. Something in those mountains just feeds the soul.
You are making me SOOOOO homesick for the mountains with all these photos! Got to get all these greens in the freezer so I can head for the mountains! XO

Beautiful photos and words. That's a very mysterious-looking house in the last photo...

That house looks a little lonely.
That last photograph is really atmospheric.

def love the fog as it adds to the mystery....we got sun for a small peak yesterday....lovely views you have
These are some beautiful shots; love the old house in the last one. It looks like a setting for a good story.
These beautiful photos are allowing me to mentally extend my recent vacation in your area. Misty, mysterious and magical.
Lovely!

I like all these delicate colors in the morning.

Just beautiful. Are you going to tell us a story about the house? Truth or fiction will be just fine.
The countdown is almost over for "Under the Skin!" You must be thrilled.
How lovely it must be to live surrounded by all that nature and soft colour. And yes, the mysterious house certainly looks like it has a story.
