A Person of Faith

A gardener is a person of faith --who looks at little green tomatoes and plans spicy sauces and salsas, salads with rich red slices glistening with olive oil, the first wonderful bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich of the season . . .

The gardener looks at the compost and grass seed and hay and sees a lush green lawn in the making . . .

Tiny green figs? A future delight -- get the prosciutto ready!

And sometimes the faith is rewarded -- as when a 3 dollar bare-root rose takes hold, climbs and blooms -- just as it was supposed to do.

Awww, you've got babies, Vicki!

Gardening is an exercise in faith and imagination. I'm trying to hold the faith here as it has been so cool and rainy the tomatoes haven't grown at all. On the other hand, would anyone like some sugar snap peas?

You are so right Vicki and as most often happens with faith, my has been rewarded big time! Hope yours will be too! :D

Karen, our sugar snaps didn't do much at all -- I don't think we've ever had a growing season in which everything did well.

Though it sounds as if, in spite of 29 days of no rain, Carol has had BUMPER crops of everything!
