Living in Middle Earth

Looking at the beauty surrounding us, I sometimes feel like the astronauts who looked back at the beautiful blue ball of Earth and wondered how something so lovely could contain so much suffering and hatred.

It's a wonderful view at all times, but the other morning when the sun broke through and set the yellow leaves 0f the river birch a-sparkle, it about took my breath away.

And I remembered the golden leaves of Tolkien's Mallorn trees in the magical place called Lothlorien.

Jenny likes the view too.

The light coming at a lower angle certainly is casting brilliance on these wonderful last leaves! I keep trying to capture it with very poor results. Kudos to you for these magical views captured here.
