The dark woods seem to have some shapes in them that say wee elves are there lurking. In the close up of the woods there are flecks of gold from sunshine or fungus. Maybe that's what the elves are after.
Really like the blue accents. Thanks for stoking my imagination.
We use that blue lots of places -- inside and out. That particular door is into our little attached greenhouse.
It's been a busy, busy day, getting ready for T-giving and our older boy Ethan and wife Aileen coming in tomorrow -- with a dog we've not met before. Much excitement and a little trepidation, but we're hoping Willa will restrain her bitchy little self and be (reasonably) polite..
I too see shapes and stories in those woods, Jim and Brian. Darting about, just at the edge of vision...

The blue seat looks so restful. I can imagine sitting there and feeling at peace. I love the blue door too.
Love the bench and ivy on the tree and the blue door!
The light is so soft at this time of the year.
So much to love here. The blue in the bench and the door! And crows! They are a hoot to watch.
The building has weathered to a perfect match for its background, so that the door appears to be standing, beautifully, on its own.
I absolutely love that blue door.

You know how I feel about crows and rooks. Ours have been pretty active, too.
