And play that burning Ring of Fire . . .
Assorted photos . . .
most of which probably have a country song to match . . .
songs about old log barns and train tracks . . .
winding roads, outhouses . . .
But back to that ring of fire . . . any guesses what's burning here?

Nice post Vicki. I clicked to listen to the music, very enjoyable, then found my way back to the images which complement the music beautifully. Hope you are keeping warm with your log fire!
Is it a hollowed out tree stump ring? I know it not a tire!
Love Johnny Cash. He grew up in my neck of the woods in Arkansas. Stay warm by your fire, it's cold outside.
Sam
Stay warm.
Last year's Christmas' wreath?
This the season to .... burn last year's what? ;-)
Oh, Lord. It isn't a seat that came out of that outhouse, is it?
Great photo of what? Mmm, not a tire, same shape...a wreath?
Is that the new stove your husband put in? Have no idea what the ring might be but it does indeed make a ring of fire.
June is correct == though it's not from the outhouse. It's from our bathroom -- a wooden toilet seat that developed a crack that lurked in wait to pinch an unsuspecting bottom . . .
NCmountainwoman -- no, he installed a kerosene heater as a supplement. That's our fireplace with a Vermont Castings insert.
Well, I never would have guessed! You can't give plastic ones such a fine end!
Oh Boy, This one brought back some memories of coal fired furnaces I use to have to get the clinkers out. They were formed in a ring around the blower. Not much fun.
As to country songs my two favorite phrases: I GAVE MY WEDDING DRESS AWAY BECAUSE BABY SISTER WANTED IT. I WAS DRUNK THE DAY MY MAW GOT OUT OF PRISON
I am ridiculously pleased that I guessed correctly.
What a dork.
