I suspect that many of my friends have already voted but I feel obliged to post this reminder.
It's amazing how many people sit out the mid term elections . . .
But when access to voting is made more difficult
It can have a chilling effect.
Don't let the bastards get you down --
So many races are so close right now . . .
Every vote is important.
The first six pictures were taken Sunday -- we had almost eight inches of snow.
These three are from yesterday -- as the snow began to melt.
And this last one is from National Public Radio's Car Talk website --
Tom Magliozzi -- whose infectious laugh and quick wit brightened many a
Saturday morning -- is gone and the world is a little darker.

Wish someone could have sent me photos of my property. It looks so different when it's covered in snow!
"Don't drive like my brother" Oh! I just read the news from you... So sad.
Yes, voting is a must and a nice way to see how Snow Beauty looks like a little further from one's home.
We've voted and glad we have it behind us. We don't like standing and line and why do so when it's so easy to vote by mail.
That's a lot of snow for late October/early November. Over our way we heard it snowed a little, but melted almost right away. We have a mountain range that usually divides the weather and sends it either to the north towards you or south to north Georgia and on to Atlanta. Sometimes that's good when it's bad weather and not so good when we need rain.

Wow! I'm surprised to see so much snow where you are! ...and I'm glad it's melting.
I will vote on my way home from work.
will be heading over to vote here in just a few moments....
cool pictures of the curl off the roof....
Lovely melt and oh my goodness, if this is the first snow, what are we in for this winter! Voted already and I sure hope there's a good turn out this election...we need some changes!
Yes, Vicki, it is important to vote. I'm just about to suit up myself and walk over to my polling place, so I can vote before heading downtown to work.
Thank you for posting the photo of Click ... or is it Clack. I read the NY Times obituary earlier this morning and think that it did capture a bit of what endeared us to the Brothers M.

I voted today and had to take a cheat sheet with me to vote for all the court seats. According to my precinct the voting has been heavy. But I am still very afraid and for the first time will not watch any of the returns. I'll check the computer tomorrow rather than go to bed anxious.
We voted early, one week and a half ago. But I still received emails and phone calls telling me that they knew I had not voted yet and needed to do so. I am pleased that the constant phone calls will stop. In the last week I have been receiving a minimum of 15 Republican robot calls (is that what you call them?) each day. For some reason, I guess because they don’t have the money, I have not received any Democrat calls – or maybe because I live in Newt Gingrich county, they know that it is a lost cause – not seen a single democrat sign in yards either. Those robot calls are so annoying though and looking at their phone numbers, always different, I can’t tell until I answer who it is. After they give me some statistics against the Democratic Party, I go and check – as I like to do research as you know. You would be surprised to know how much of what they say is totally untrue, or most of it incorrect – it’s kind of bizarre. Don’t they think people will check?
Oh, Vagabonde -- alas, not many people will bother. And a lie repeated often enough becomes the truth for many people. It's depressing.
I hang up on all campaign calls, robot or otherwise Even when it's a candidate I support. I hate solicitation calls. I see them as an invasion of privacy. Send an email or snail mail and I might read it at my leisure. But don't interrupt me at dinner time -- or any other time -- to listen to a campaign spiel.
I was so sorry to hear of Tom Magliozzi's passing.
I voted early today...hoping for a blue outcome!
I love the way the snow curls off your metal roof...so pretty.
