Attempted Home Invasion

I've been putting out food for this feral cat for several weeks now. It runs away if it sees me. It growls at Cory and Angeline. I think that it hangs out in the old cabin -- or the barn. There are plenty of places for it to get out of the weather. It doesn't really want to come in -- it just wants to get at the kittehs . . . there was a lot of growling and trash talking going on in these pictures.

So much for a friendly chat over the neighbor's fence! ;-)

There's always one isn't there! Why is it the visitor always wants to take over? Why can't they just fit in nicely!

Vicki, I saw another story, beautifully told.

Best wishes to you and yours. Please keep the door closed. Windows, too.

It is funny how it still wants to be territorial even with the door in between it and the others.

I've heard the only time cats "meow" is to their people and it's not a phrase in their own communication...or perhaps as babies they squeal for momma. So how else do they talk to each other but spit and growl! Mine sure say that back and forth frequently. Do the kittehs say otherwise?

The kittehs are the same -- the only vocalizations between them are growls and hissings on occasion.

Every farm needs a barn cat. And this looks like a good one. Hope it will come close enough to capture and neuter/spay so you won't have tons of outdoor kittehs.

I once had a kitty that looked just like that feral one. I hope it catches a many mice for you.

I can't help but laugh at this, but I'm sure your kitties are not at all happy about the situation. Cats are so incredibly territorial. I think that even if you covered up that glass, those cats would know there was an intruder on the other side.

oh we had all kinds of racket the other night...a grey cat had gotten on the porch and my tom did not like it one bit....if they could just do it at a respectible hour it would be great....

Oh! That invader bears a great resemblance to my late great Sebastian cat. Maybe a reincarnation? Send him north!

My cats must be weird then. They meow at each all the time. Esp. when one is wanting to play and the others are sacked out! I always knew they were weird. Hope your feral is a boy so you don't have a bunch of baby ferals come Spring. Sigh. There is always one or two here. Right now it's 'Earl Grey' a silvery young male I'm attempting to catch to get his tutoring done.
