After yesterday's post, it's probably obvious that I have some complicated feelings about Flag Day . . .
Seeing our little town all decked out in the red, white, and blue evokes, for me, a kind of Norman Rockwell-ish glow . . .
And makes me hope that someday the flag truly will represent a nation --
"indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Yes of course Hillerman... les Anasazi, les Navajos "A thief of time."
I agree with your sentiment about the flag.
On another note, I woke up thinking how great our anthem is to have the words "dawns early light" immortalized, so everyone can remember the feeling.
we can hope that one day we can live up to that dream...
Leaving my workplace this evening, I mentioned, as I wrote today's date on a document, that it was Flag Day. None of my younger colleagues knew what that meant.
I admit to having a bit of difficulty explaining it to them.

I'm late to this party Vicki. I truly hope your hope comes true. There is a problem to solve. We are an oligarchy not a democracy. Money rules.
