Could just be a cardboard cutout, but if real, amazing how he holds to a vertical twig and manages to be upright! I guess all birds do that, but I've never noticed.
He's real -- and keeping watch. Whenever there are several crows on the ground looking for food, there is usually one posted as a lookout. Hence the crow's nest on ships...

I love crows. And I love all the wonderful fables about them.
I would love to capture a good shot of three crows in a bare tree...I always feel it's a good sign when I see see groups of three.
I really enjoyed watching a pair of crows eating some leftovers I tossed out the other night. Apparently they love curry sweet potato stew!
They are quite the characters even with the sky as a background.
I read that of all animals, crow has one of the biggest brains for its overall weight and size. They are sooo smart. Wonderful creatures.
