Lots of variety here, including chicken... big, little and fried.

That first hummingbird is stunning!

Yesterday was the very essence of what summer should be -- so we celebrated with fried chicken, potato salad and deviled eggs.

It is certainly wonderful weather now isn't it? Love the variations on chicken!

Hey, you have an artichoke growing already?

Your photos make me feel at home at Elisabeth's place! I love to see your lifestock and garden! I have the feeling that time fles faster and faster! Maybe I am getting slower. A couple of weeks ago I met another blogger. It was Jesh St Germain of Artistique. She and her husband are Dutch. We had a great time and went to the windmills. It is really great to meet bloggers! I wish I could meet you too.
Well have a great week, Vicky.

We do indeed have an artichoke! And are hoping for more -- last year this plant produced five.

Wil -- I have a fantasy about circling the globe and meeting various bloggers -- I want to visit the poulders with you.

Apart from the humming birds, those photos remind me of my grandparents' home. They had a huge garden and grew lots of veg and kept chickens. Ah, lovely to remember.

Vicki, summer is looking so very good round your place. I'm now going out to take an after sunset view of that super moon we've been hearing about.

It really is starting to look like summer! I like your rooster. The last 3 days, don’t know why, but there have been 3 to 5 mallard ducks sitting under our bird feeder. They were quite pretty. My husband kept looking at them and talking about their feathers – I kept thinking I’d like to roast one in a “canard à l’orange” recipe!

Summertime, and the living is easy - I was already thinking that, when I arrived at the food. I will be right over! ;-)
