The second photo from the top, a type of cinquefoil that I just saw for the first time in our parking area this week. Called Rough Fruited Cinquefoil. It looks so different from the common cinquefoil that produces fake strawberries. I dug it up and planted it among my other flowers in hopes it will spread, but also hoping it isn't too invasive. The term parallel lives comes to mind. Love the moon photo, I have hopes of going to Clingman's Dome Sunday for the super moon and see what my point and shoot will do on a tripod.
Hi VIcki...I saw your cloud lady, seems she is shy of being seen by the moon, but with all her reflected light she's actually brighter! I was asking my cats yesterday how come they grow out the same colored hair in each spot as they are shedding so much now...but they might be changing a bit and I'd never know.

Keeping up with all the blooms and beauty must be quite tiring for the kittehs.
A day in the life...
Perfect beauties, every one.
How is it, do you think, that animals' markings, no matter what they are . . . are always perfectly placed?

#4 & #6...the petal pointing up and the profile...amazing...
and of course the kittehs...smiles.
Absolutely lovely.
June -- they are, aren't they? Though it took a while for the Cory cat's wild spangles to begin to make sense to me.
Mary Anne - that cinquefoil is growing in our pastures and on a bank behind our house. It doesn't seem to be especially invasive.
Brian -- day lilies are so expressive. And there's a profile in the cloud shot -- a lovely Edwardian lady just turning away.

Those clouds are gorgeous and so are the flowers. Kitties are getting bigger.
what a pleasure to feast on your summer images as we are plunged into the cold of winter solstice here in NZ
