From the First Day of Spring

So much to catch my eye -- pink blossoms against the clear blue sky . . .

Early light gilding the edge of the Dwarf Alberta spruce . . .

A neighbor's forsythia cascading over an old rock wall . . .

Clover, Silverbell's daughter, still in her winter coat. . .

In Burnsville, looking up at some trees, I noticed several large nests . . .

And several crows . . .

Then came the first night of Spring ... I don't really want to talk about it.

Oh dear. That last photo is a mood killer! Ha! I'm visiting my mother here in Texas this week, and am enjoying the spring weather! Was 90 Monday, 80 yesterday, and dry crisp 70's today. Friday....back to snowy Rochester NY. Boo!

You sure were off to a good start, before it snowed. Everything is looking beautiful.

Wonderful photos. You have such an eye for the world!
I'm suspicious that Clover may know something about how soon full spring will be here. Maybe not quite yet.

So many encouraging signs of spring around here too, and then the snow came! Ugh, how depressing ... at least it won't last long.

Spring is in the air! Frequently we hear Vivaldi's Spring of the Four Seasons and Frülingsstimmen by Grieg.
Only the weather is still wintry and frosty. Here and there, however some shy crocuses show their purple noses.
I am happy to see that your spring is definitely on its way, Vicki! Great shots!

Winter doesn't want to lose its grip here, either.

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform
you're working with? I'm looking to start my own blog in
the near future but I'm having a difficult time choosing between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I'm looking for
something unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had
to ask!

I was just going to ask you if you are expected to get this big front of snow that is a comin'. We don't know how much we will get (hopefully none!) but anywhere from 3-7 inches and another one expected over the weekend. Shearing is next Thursday.... What happened to SPRING??

I know that tree. I took some pictures of crows up there last year. Huge birds; they were so neat sitting up there against a gray sky. Very ominous.

Ugh...we have pretty much the same scene here a little south of you. And it's not over yet. *Sigh* My husband definitely wishes he hadn't optimistically planted those little cabbage seedlings last weekend. :-(

Ruh-roh! Well, that took a twist at the end... ;-) I absolutely LOVE the last photo though...something quite eerie about it...
