Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
Oh, I love the black ones. What a handsome animal! Any raccoons yet?
Your pictures remind me of David Attenborough's description of possums patrolling the landscape "with a raffish, buccaneering air."
eeep....we get them on the back porch every so often...coming looking for a meal...
Just can't seem to like these big rodents. But for you, another adventure, eh?
No raccoons yet, Sandy. Love the quote!
If you feed them, they will come...
I like opossums (opossi?). They're so homely they're cute.
Such sweet little faces, I just love them.
creatures of the night....I am always happy to spot them passing by...or stopping for a snack
I love these sweet hairy critters! My grandmother had one as a pet when I was a teenager and she was so sweet. She raised it from a baby on goats milk.
Ah ha! so he's brought his friend ... or is it her friend, whatever! Delightful creatures. News travels fast doesn't it!
