Poor baby. I thought she only had a couple of stitches? That looks like several.

What happened to your dog ?. Poor thing! Thanks for sharing your Cherokee photos! It certainly is beautiful. I can now see how Maythorn must have lived. I must reread the book.

Poor Willa. Glad she's on the road to full recovery, now.

Poor Willa! If you run with the coyotes (or whoever she tangled with), you have to pay the price.

Wow, Willa sure did tear herself open! Glad she's mending so well and hopefully will be out of her onesie soon.

I have also found out that dogs and barbed wire fences don't mix, but not to that extent.

I hope you're feeling better soon Willa. It's no fun to be laid up is it. You'll be well in no time, chasing squirrels and running in the woods. In the meantime, be a good girl and do what you mom tells you to. And next time be more careful who you tangle with in the woods. Not everyone is your friend out there.

Poor Willa! But she'll be able to dine out on that for years.
What do you think inflicted that damage? The hinder two puncture wounds are surely fang punctures, don't you think?

We think it was a combination of a coyote and a barbed wire fence. But we'll never know for sure. She has a few more days before we take the stitches out.

It might be time for Willa to have her own book! The Adventures of the Fearless Willa!!

Oh poor Willa - surely she knows love stitched her up!
Thank you for all the photos bringing Maythorn territory to life!

Willa, patience will serve you well. You will soon be free. Our Golden Girls love carrots. They would be glad to help you eat them.

She sure does look bored!

She must be getting better if she's complaining!

Vicki Lane said...

Oh, she's complaining, indeed. About five more days and I'll take the stitches out and she can go outside without the leash -- in the morning. We won't be letting her out toward evening -- that was when she encountered Wharever-It-Was....

Wow..I say that Willa was very fortunate to escape the beast that inflicted that sort of damage. Geez. Sounds like she needs her own doggie body guard when she is out running. You can sure see a bit of beagle in her in the photo where she is sitting looking at the camera!
Glad she is doing well...besides her feelings of being jailed.
