Did you actually take the first one through a screen, or did you add that after? (mine didn't come out anywhere close to even okay when I tried) Yours are always great and your garden looks quite healthy!
Beautiful! What's in the second shot? Tomatoes? Willa looks like she owns the world! She was certainly one lucky dog to end up with you and your family!
Ms. A -- Yep, through a screen -- I tried several at different settings and most were very bad -- this one worked.
Martin -- the slugs mainly do damage to the lettuce (and the hostas in the ornamentals) -- plus, though it's rainy now, we have dry spells that keep the slugs in check. While we have the occasional snail, they aren't a problem.
Jean -- Willa DOES own the world -- at least our part of it.
Beauties every one. I have a plum tomato plant on the porch with a few green babies. I was curious to see if the grocery store plum tomato seeds would grow a plant. Voila'
In the virtual world, I live on your farm too, don't you know! It looks so peaceful and perfect. I imagine myself walking through every morning, checking on the plants and animals, avoiding the snakes by the greenhouse; sitting on the blue bench with a cup of coffee, picking a few tomatoes and returning to the house for a nice salad lunch and a good read or write for the afternoon. In the evening I sit on the porch and watch the sun going down over the mountains, stroking the dogs and cats and wondering what the weather will bring tomorrow. Just lovely! You're going to have an awful lot of zuchini this year!!

Brown eggs in a blue bowl. One of the loveliest things in the world.
How do you deal with slugs and snails, Vicki? Don't they munch their way through your crops?

Jean -- Yes, plum tomatoes in a pot on the porch. It was a volunteer plant growing in the grass and I wanted to see what it was.
A timeless kind of life.
I've got plum tomatoes growing in pots on my front porch too. I love to eat them warm right off the vine! Willa has to be one lucky girl!
