Goodbye to April...and a Reminder

Tomorrow is May 1.

My grandmother always said that if you get wet in the first rain of May,
 you'll be healthy all year.

I do what my grandmother said.

You might want to try it.

Rain's predicted for tomorrow around here.
If you're out west, you may have to wait.
If it doesn't rain where you are in May, I don't know what to tell you.

I interpret 'wet' rather liberally.

(But then I would, wouldn't I?)

One raindrop will suffice -- but actually standing in the rain for a bit is more fun.

I doubt we'll see any rain, but boy oh boy, I hope I'm wrong! If I'm not, I guess I'll just have to stand under the spray of the garden hose...which probably doesn't count.

Gorgeous photos, Vicki. I never cease to be amazed by how beautiful it is where you live.

I have 99% chance of being healthy in 2015! Hooray!

It is teasing rain in Cosby, the wind has desiccated everything, it needs to rain. And what about that wisteria that is threatening to eat the gazebo?? We had one where we used to live, dug it up on the side of the road, ended up with vines the size of my wrist. They are divine when they bloom, just need lopping shears now and then.

I love your wisteria bower! How absolutely heavenly it must smell.

The wisteria is rampant -- it got pruned back last year which only seems to have encouraged it.

We haven't gotten rain yet -- as often happens, the radar shows a big mass coming and then it hits the mountains between NC and TN and breaks up, some going north, some going south.

Yeah, garden hose or sprinkler head is the only rain I will get. Maybe a inside shower in the shower stall.

Vicki your home and land is a magical place. How beautiful and peaceful it looks.

Getting wet in the first May rain. Walking barefoot in the first snow. You are definitely going to have a good year.

Is that a giant viburnum, Vicki? I always like your liberal interpretations!

Not much chance of rain around here until, maybe November!!!

I love nature at your place, so green and beautiful, I am soaking it all in here in my dry place.
