Voting Day!

This was the scene in on Friday in Weaverville (a little town about half an hour away from my home.)

The Democrats were there . . .

And the Republicans too. . .

In the interest of being fair and balanced, I'd like to mention that the fella with the Romney sign seemed to like dogs...

Not  sure how the witch felt but some of us are so ready for this to be over.

I assume that last photo is of a campaign worker who has given his/her all.

I hope it IS over tomorrow!

Me too, Katy -- if we have a long and hotly disputed battle over the results, it's going to be just awful.

I fear it will not be over soon. We've got several variants of the hanging chad this year as voter suppression ran rampant.

Amen! Living in a swing state(VA) the phone calls have gone beyond annoying straight to harassment. If we are ever a swing state again, I'm unplugging the phone, TV and radio!

That last photo just plain made this series!

And, yes, this is going to be ... interesting. I went ahead and took tomorrow off, too, because I suspect I'll be up late tonight awaiting results. And, tomorrow, I shall probably be hung over after either a victory celebration (I've got the single malt standing by) or a depression drunk (the blended scotch plonk), in no fit state to work. I'm hoping that this will be over tommorrow, too, but I fear it won't. This country is so divided. I wish everyone could manage to do what my best friend and I do; agree to disagree. She's a Republican, I'm a Democrat, but our friendship is more important to us than politics. Of course, the fact that we've been friends for 60 years probably makes it a lot easier for us. But still, I hope to see in my lifetime a united America instead of such a deeply divided America.
