We don't know the cause -- she didn't have the same symptoms as Eddie. But she seemed weak and staggery in the rear end. While we were calling the vet and fetching the carrier, she tore her way through a screen and disappeared.

To Live Content...
"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion, to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly, to listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart, to bear all cheerfully, to all bravely await occasions, hurry never. In a word, to let the spiritual unbidden and unconscious grow up through the common. This is to be my symphony."
This quote from William Henry Channing caught my eye over at Vicki Archer's beautiful blog FRENCH ESSENCE as did the post about her neighbors.
Not a bad credo to live by, I think. Miss Susie Hutchins certainly agrees.
