Bob and I greeted the sun from the tractor road above the house.
A better view without That Tree in the way . . .
We came down and followed another tractor road into a pasture . . .
One of those Carolina Blue skies -- perhaps in honor of Dean Smith, University of North Carolina's beloved basketball coach emeritus who passed away Saturday. Even fierce rivals respected him and I, though not really a sports fan, was always impressed with his calm demeanor during games.
Bob was enjoying his walk and then he saw John's truck
John was on his way to feed the chickens and would continue on down to feed the cows.
Bob thought about it and decided his place was with John and Dan.
So I let loose the leash and down the hill Bob went to join the other guys.
(They all returned an hour later.
Bob was muddy and happy, having enjoyed a good romp down at Otis and Ali's house.)

Such a beautiful walk with all these views. A beautiful way to start a new day with clear ideas.
Those are some steep, beautiful inclines. My legs would be screaming.
What a nice way to start the day. Bob is adorable - just look at his cute face. I'm so glad he's fitting in with the gang. He seems such a happy dog.

Yay country living on a beautiful day. Remember that sun and warmth while winter continues to tease us!
Fun to see Bob stretching his legs and finding new places to get muddy. xo
Wow, your really live in hilly country. Southern Iowa where I lived was hilly but you are living on deep inclines. If the dog was playing ball and it got away it would fall a long way done the hill.
He is quite at home at your place now and that's so great to see.
It was such a lovely day, wasn't it? I do love your farm with its hills and dales.
Bob living his life in John and Vicki's hoot and hollers. What a lucky boy.
i was sad about dean smith...i grew up watching him and the tarheels...sounds like a lovely morning...
Muddy dogs are generally happy dogs, I believe. I'm pleased to see Bob recognizing that he's part of a pack now.
My my, you do have some sharp hills there! And . . . you have . . . color! Even green!
Please tell me what camera you use.....brand and features. Your photos are always a joy and inspiration!
daybreak -- I have a Nikon D90 with a Nikkor 18 - 200 mm lens. I've been VERY happy with this camera/lens combo.
Would be a delight to walk there.
