Does anyone else get a weird feeling when that little sign pops up on Facebook and says that So-and-so  is following you?

Have you ever been talking to someone and she's looking at you with a fixed expression but doesn't really seem to be hearing you and you have a real feeling she's doing her Kegel exercises . . .

(While finding that link for Kegel exercises, I thought I saw a link to Kegel exercise classes -- now there's an interesting thought . . but it was just that my glasses needed cleaning.)

Received notice of our high school 55th reunion. Several of those involved are people I've blocked or un-friended on Facebook because of their ultra Conservative (and in my opinion downright ugly) posts.

We've never yet been to a reunion -- this doesn't seem a good time to begin.

Returned form, saying unable to attend.

In space for INFORMATION TO SHARE wrote Not dead yet.

Such colorful birds. As an aside - the Pilates studio I go to now offers a class for "male kegel." Hmmmmm.

By the way, I love your snow, as long as it remains "your snow". It sure is lovely.

Quite a humor Vicky but you are right: "not dead yet" seems a good way to deal with the whole thing when you answer the invitation.

Littel tweets and chirps. Such a beautiful cardinal, their color against the snow!
Yeah I got invitations also from 1959 and can't get the urge specially when pictures of my fellow classmates are sent my way. Why the heck do I want to hang out with a bunch of old folks?

"Not dead yet" might also be a reason not to attend that reunion. I have attended only one class reunion, the 10th high school reunion, and it was freakin' deadly. Led me to believe that I might have been invisible throughout high school.
I love that cardinal picture. So bright!

Those little red birds really show up in the snow. I don't blame you for turning down the reunion. I would at this stage, even though I'm not aware of any rabid political leanings amongst my peers.

I've never been to a reunion either, high school or college. I figure I already keep up with friends I want to see and don't care about the rest of them.

Hope you don't mind my borrowing your "not dead yet" for the next update.

Help yourself, Carolyn -- I borrowed it from Monty Python.

Vicki, those birds are beautiful!

I am still not part of the facebook world.

I have never been to any school reunion.

So many other ways to fill one's waking hours.

We don’t have school reunions in France – in a way I wish they did as I have not seen these people since I went to school – I would not know any of them I am sure but there were a couple of real sweet kids. Now for the snow in your pictures – is it this year or last year snow? We have not had any yet.
Your birds are so lovely. We have 5 birdfeeders in the back yard that we had to constantly fill up with seeds as there always were so many birds of many types. Then for the last 6 weeks or so – nothing, not a bird. The seeds are there, nothing has changed but the birds are gone. This is the first time it happens to us. As this ever happened to you? I wonder what it could be.

This was yesterday's snow -- mostly melted mow.

As for the disappearing birds -- that's strange -- I wonder if a hawk or a feral cat has staked out that territory and is scaring the birds away.

Make sure the bird seed hasn't gotten wet and moldy -- that could be keeping the birds away.

Love the bird pics! I laughed out loud at Jim Egerton's response stating "Why the heck do I want to hang out with a bunch of old folks?" Vicki, I enjoy reading your blogs....also, began reading "Under the Skin" yesterday. Vicki, my favorite of your books, at this time, is "Art's Blood."

KL -- So nice to hear someone liked ART'S BLOOD! Somehow it's always seemed like the red-headed stepchild of the lot -- I think perhaps because the cover's kind of blah.
