Sunshine and Hummers
After several days of beautiful soaking rain and blissfully cool temperatures, it was nice to see the sun again and snap a few pictures before the clouds rolled in again. Mid-July is normally our hottest time and this respite has been glorious.

Our high was 65 here today...bliss! No rain for months though. We had clouds yesterday, but they were selfish and kept their rain.
What kind of leaves are those in the first photo? They're gorgeous!
Beautiful colours in the top photo. The respite must be very welcome.
Victoria -- the leaves are smoke bush -- cotygia. They are a deep purple -- till the sun shines through them.
Lovely silhouettes of hummers! They are so cheerful in their bright and fast movements. Yes, the brief sunshine yesterday was welcome.
Great photographs with the back-lit hummingbirds interspersed with the colorful leaves. Lovely
We seem to have stolen your summer. It's here...you can have it back with pleasure. Love those purple/orange leaves.

Those backlit hummers are outstanding. Picking up the details and in such sharp focus is amazing. Thank you for sharing.
