On the Last Day of Winter

Green lace dances
Down the willow branches;

Tender crimson leaflets
Set the maple twigs aflame.

Beautiful poem and photographs. I only wish it were like this here in Maine. We still have snow on the ground, although it's a rainy day so that may change.

I love Maine -- in the summertime. The lupines alone are worth the trip. We were there maybe ten years ago and Castine absolutely capitivated us -- we kept staying 'one more day' in the big rambling yellow-shingled house that was a bed and breakfast.
