Willa Tries for a Selfie

I was puzzled to find these odd pictures as part of a recent download. Then I reconstructed the event: Willa went with me to town; I had my camera, lens up, on the seat beside her. Evidently she managed to hit the button and take our picture.

I didn't hear the shutter snap, as I was listening to a book on tape. Next time I hope she gets her face in frame.

Now that's one smart dog. Too funny.

I wonder if dogs are aware of their "self?" Your dog looks like she's pretty much concentrated on you. Maybe you are her self.

Willa is a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde. Inside (including the car) she's a sweetie, very much my good little girl -- outside, as soon as she's out of (what she considers) earshot, she's her own woman.

And, yes, I'd say she's very aware of her self... and her space and her autonomy.
