Moving gradually into the Christmas season . . . planning menus, wrapping presents, making presents . . .
Packing away the fall decor . . .
It'll be another week before the tree goes up . . . but I'm almost ready to hear a Christmas carol or two.

Wish I had a Christmas spirit, it's been so long. Good thing everyone isn't like me!
Well I love this season - and I say put the music on and let it begin. It's great fun always to see your house transformed! And isn't making the best, I wish always I would do more of that. A friend just conceived of a little project to make her grandchildren individual little pillows with their names embroidered on top - she'll be scrambling and happy to be doing making this happen. That's the part I like. Part of the part - and the lights and the scents and the traditions - general bustle distracting from 4 p.m. dusk and 7 a.m. dark. And reading about your preparations is very cheerful. xo
We don't decorate much. Have plenty of Christmas music and cheer. Thinking the true meaning of Christmas is Peace and Goodwill to all men. That's something the good christians could learn after all the wars and hate.
I'm thinking of the season a little bit...after I get the presents taken care of and shipped out then I will feel like decorating.
I wrote some Christmas cards today but haven't got much further than that yet. The red berries in your top photo look rather Christmassy.
