Quilt Closeups from the Easter Party . . . and Links to Albums

When I got down to the barn yesterday morning, the cleanup crew was hard at work -- all had travel plans and had to be flying back to California or driving to Virginia.

The quilts were down and neatly folded . . .

But I got some not-so-great pictures of the smaller quilts for those of you who wanted to see more -- not good lighting, weird angles -- but you can get an idea of the intricacy of the piecing.

Some of the quilts were unfinished . . .

It would be a rare person who left this world with no unfinished business . . .

HERE is a link to a web album of pictures from the Saturday pre-party
and THIS is a link to a web album of pictures from Easter Day.

I like them all, but I love the barnyard quilt. Wow, that one has teeny tiny squares. Now I need to go look at the albums.

I would sleep so well under the spiral starry night one...but then I love them all. Wonderful art, probably not to sleep under at all. I'm in awe of all that needlework!

So much to love about the albums. Best of all I did not see one smart phone in use. BTW: Was the little guy in #59 drinking a beer?

I should have captioned that. The bottle was empty and he is teething -- the cool rim felt good to him. His dad is a P.A. and the best dad ever. No underage beer drinking in this picture

Truly stunning, all of them - but I do love that galaxy, starry one.
