ONE THOUSAND

How time flies when you're having fun . . .
sharing the delights of life . . .
And the beauty of the world!

And a lot of other stuff.  Thanks for all your comments! It's even more fun because of you all.

And here's to one thousand more! (I'm lifting my mug of tea). I love reading your blog, and I'm counting the days until 'The Day of Small Things' is released.

The mosaics are beautiful, and that first picture of the morning glories is exquisite. The way you caught the light shining through them makes them seem as though they're made out of stained glass.

When I began my blog I really didn't know why I was doing so, what did I think I would get from it? Initially I think it was somewhere to put my photos but I have am enjoying the contact with so many wonderful people such as yourself; I am learning about other people and other places. I have enjoyed following your blog and all you share. Thank you.

Congratulations, Vicki! Wow, what a community, where you can visit regularly, share experiences and chat over a virtual coffee.

Your blog is one of my first ports of call, each day. I'm never disappointed with the conversation and always look forward to the welcome.

Congratulations Vicki ... I know it takes time out of your busy days to write your posts, but it is appreciated so much by all of us. Your blog and my first cup of coffee go hand in hand. Thank you very much!

I started my blog really to keep in touch with the readers of my books and have been delighted to discover this vibrant world-wide community that Joan speaks of. I love the feeling of having friends in places I may never visit and learning about those places. I love discovering how much we have in common and how delightful are our differences.

Those pictures are lovely. Thank you for sharing.

I got my new Kindle yesterday and now can start reading again. I couldn't hold books any more, because of how badly my hands hurt. Anyway, the first book I have downloaded is "Signs in the Blood." You're a new author to me, and I am excited to be starting right at the beginning.

And I have loved them all. I went all the way back through the archives when I first "discovered" you.

And then I went right out and bought all four of your books. Elizabeth helped to keep me sane during some very difficult caregiving days. When I had a few minutes of respite Elizabeth (like Calgon) took me away.

I'm looking forward to the next thousand!

I love your collages!
Thanks for your comment on the boat. I should like to live on such a boat, but I wouldn't cross the ocean.

Congratulations. No small feat, that, coming up with 1000 creative, interesting posts for all of us to enjoy. You are my first stop everyday, and I am never disappointed, and I thank you for that kind of start to my day.
I must ask, in the second mosaic, bottom right corner, it looks like stakes in winrows of hay or something??????
I am a relative newcomer, but I have read my way through your archives, and I look forward to your next 1000. And your next books. Slow as they are to come (does Herself read this?) :0

That's exciting, Louise! I suspect that a Kindle is in my future as our house is already overflowing with books and I keep hearing how easy on the eyes they (Kindles) are.

And how nice to think that this blog, which was really begun for the readers of my books, has found me more readers!

I love thinking of Elizabeth as Calgon, NCmountainwoman! I have some favorites like that!

Jill, just at the moment, I'm trying to ignore those tomato plants.

Michele -- some of the slownesss is my fault -- I absolutely can't do more than a book a year. And sometimes, not even that. But some of it is the publishing industry too, which has always moved at a glacial pace.

That picture is of young tomato plants, just set out with the stakes that will hold string stretched horizontally for the tomatoes to grow on. The hay is mulch to keep weeds down and moisture in.
