So glad you take your camera with you. Now we get to share these two slices of life. Love the hair-do and there have been times when the sticker would have co me in handy too!
Thanks, Victoria. Tell your husband if I see the car and its owner again, I'll find out. ;-)
Thanks for dropping by, Evalinn!
Hi, Martin -- This kid has had a Mohawk previously -- I think it's a salute to warmer weather. Sometimes he manages to wear a tractor cap sort of to one side of the hairdo.
I love the dent too, Brian. And the Confederate flag and the fuzzy steering wheel as well.
Absolutely, Miss Yves! Which is why I always take my camera with me!
Morning, Pat! Always good to start the day with a laugh!
Hi, Subby -- I think the kid looks pretty sharp, actually.
Hey, Sam - Oh yes, always. There's so much to see!
Love the pictures! So much 'individuality' out there. I need to get more in the habit of carrying my camera with me. Never know when you'll get such photo ops as these. :-) Tammy
Lovely little sliver of life this morning. I think the kid looks really cool ... at home with himself. That sticker would have come in very useful during my hockey Mom days!
Always take your camera with you. Yesh! (Make sure that it is one you know how to handle: I once sat next to Arthur Miller and when I finally had the courage to ask if I could take a picture, I was unable to get that darn thing going off!)
I can just see the creature who would have both those stickers on his car. Nor my favourite sort of chap. If he's serious he's a creep, if not, he's a humourless joker. I like neither. I do like the Mohican.
Hey, Tammy -- it really needs to be a habit. You just never know...
I know what you mean, Nana Jo -- I was a soccer mom once.
Thanks, Amelia! I'll expect to see both of those stickers on y'all's car next time you come to the farm.
I can't imagine a time when you couldn't make your camera work, Merisi!
Ah, Willow and Wil, two more inquiring eyes!
I saw the car's owner, Friko, and you may be sure I waited till he was out of sight before snapping the picture. He didn't look like a very nice person. I think the dent say quite a lot...
Ok, I biggified the picture and I saw the stripper sticker your niece mentioned. I also didn't notice the dent until I had enlarged it. I guess I was really fixated on that "get in, sit down, shut up and hang on" sticker since that's what my husband said I should have on my car (because he thinks I drive waaaay too fast, tee hee).

I'm the author of The Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries from Bantam Dell. The series includes SIGNS IN THE BLOOD (LA MONTAGNE DES SECRETS in France), ART'S BLOOD, (LE SECRET DES APPALACHES in France,) OLD WOUNDS,IN A DARK SEASON (Anthony Nominee, Best PBO), and UNDER THE SKIN. There's also THE DAY OF SMALL THINGS (a spinoff/standalone)chronicling the unexpected life story of Miss Birdie, one of Elizabeth's neighbors.
I came to this weird business late (my first novel was published in 2005) and am still trying to figure it out.
As my novels are set in a place much like my real life home, I thought I'd use this blog to share pictures of our farm and county. I've been blogging for over four years now, on an almost daily basis, and the topics have ranged from writing, chickens, food, books, quilts, flora and fauna of all sorts, to the occasional tiny rant. There's no plan, but there are lots of pictures.
There's more information about me and my books on my web site: http://vickilanemysteries.com/

LOL. My husband wants to know where he can get one of those to stick on my car.
I loved your previous Magpie Tales post, and the mosaic you made for it!
That´s so true!

Hazard is the great master of photografs.
I got a good laugh out of those pictures Vicki ... soooo glad I hadn't started drinking my coffee yet!
I heard Mohawks were back in vogue...and diggin' th' decal :)
Went walk-about at the mall but nothing like this...just clouds in the sky, heh...
Oh my gosh, I haven't seen a mohawk in ages. Only in the mountains. So glad you take your camera along. We should do more of it ourselves.
Sam

I've learned to never leave home without it. You just never know when you'll encounter a great shot, just like these!
Great idea, Vicki! I always take my camera with me! This morning there was a weird kind of sunrise!
Your photos are funny!

That is a new one for me. LOL. We have a local store that still takes the groceries to the car for us. That guy was Joe cool with the shades.
