The news that Disney has caved to the massive boycott and that Jimmy Kimmel will return tonight is, to me, a very hopeful sign. I don't think I've ever watched Kimmel, but I deplore the sort of government coercion that this regime is exercising.
We didn't have a Disney subscription to cancel but it was a delight to see so many cancelling that Disney's website for subscriptions crashed. Even my friend Martin in England cancelled his, standing in solidarity with us across the pond!
And what makes me hopeful is the very real demonstration of people power--something we are in sore need of to combat this heartless, corrupt, oligarchical regime.
Starting with midterm elections . . .

This is what I've been hoping to see -- a solid demonstration that the people have more power than he does and can use it to foil him. He bragged at Charlie Kirk's lollapalooza of a circus-style "memorial service" about crushing the networks, and less than 24 hours later he was thoroughly humiliated by the power of the people. ✌️✌️✌️✌️
I was surprised to read yesterday that Kimmel is back. It is good news and gives a bit of hope.
That was a course correction. I hope people now renew their memberships as a reward.
Stick and carrot, so to speak.
I've never watched him, but intend to record it to see if he apologizes etc.
If an apology is demanded, something like "I'm sorry you misunderstood me" would serve.
