Leaving This Behind . . .

I almost never leave home without a pang of regret -- but the Passion Flowers are blooming! And the hydrangeas!

I am, however, at John C. Campbell Folk School, teaching writing this week. And of course there's beauty all around.

It also means two weeks without Josie, as she and Claui are heading to the beach for a week the day I'm returning.

Two weeks!  As quickly as she's changing, she'll be practically grown up by then.

Think about the stories she will be telling you... A lot of happiness and new discoveries ahead.

Have fun at JCC and write more beautiful stories! My grands are all so far away, so I am glad they have family who sometimes take photos.

Enjoy JCC. Oh how I wish I could be there to learn from you! I love your blog post flowers today. When I was able to have a vegetable garden, passion flowers always came up on their own accord. As a child I would pick the "molly-pops" (what we called the fruit) and stick toothpicks in them to make different animals. We had to make our own fun out in the country back then. Thank you for sparking that memory for me this morning.
