Come Through the Gate


Spring waits . . . unfurling
Fragrant daffodils to preen
In the morning sun . . .


Old crooked pear tree
Shimmers pearly blossoms. . .
Hums a tune of bees. . .

And new blooms proclaim
Victory on a backdrop
Of Winter's leavings.
