Yellow Flags

The wild iris called yellow flags are in full bloom.

About thirty-five years ago, I dug up a clump from  the wild and set them out on the edge of a branch near our house

When we had our pond dug -- maybe twenty years ago -- and when it finally filled with water, I divided my yellow flags and set a few on the bank of the pond.

As you can see, they have prospered.

Isn't it wonderful what a little time can do!

I have these lovely plants too and I am shocked how quickly they multiply when they are happily set so their feet get wet

Hope you get to sit on the bench and look at your yellow flags. Looks so peaceful.

Such a beautiful area. Yes, time is the key to most beautiful things.

They clearly like your area. All those vibrant greens are gorgeous too.

I am awaiting for my flags to bloom. I have a dark blue batch and a light blue batch. We had enough moisture this spring so maybe I will see them bloom. Your yellow ones are wonderful to see.

Love the two sets of yellows, flags in air, flags in water, connected by earth.
