Basking in the Glow

It was a lovely Mother's Day. John fixed a fine breakfast of croissants, poached eggs, Canadian bacon, and fresh pineapple -- and bubbly . . .

A phone call from Ethan -- the elder son in Atlanta -- and then Justin --the younger son -- came up and finished a stone walkway behind the house that had been begun last year . . .

In the evening,  Justin and Claui fixed a sumptuous dinner of shrimp and grits . . .

and Andouille sausage and kale and broccoli and salad and more bubbly.

That's my idea of celebrating!

For a moment I saw the young woman I first knew at U of F standing at the stove! Happy Mother's Day indeed.

And I suppose you sat in your rocker and allowed yourself to be spoiled.

Great idea.

I cannot think of a person more deserving to bask in the glow than you. Glad it was such a wonderful and relaxing barefoot day.
