Nine Thousand Words... and a Few More

Spring has me in its clutches -- I'll get back to visiting and commenting and. oh, yes, a FAQ post tomorrow.  Until then, a picture is worth a thousand words.

 Bleeding Heart

Wisteria

Marigold and Justin

 Trillium (Wake Robin?)
 Dogwood
John is building a more permanent house for the broiler chickens.
 Yellow trillium
 Pink Dogwood

That first picture is breathtakingly beautiful. What a magnificent scene!
I love wisteria. It grew all over in Grahamstown where I attended university and I always intended to grow my own once I 'grew up' and had a garden. I never have attempted to grow it and I wonder why?

You live in a real life fairytale, with Marigold completing the picture! What a productive family you are...such busyness, it's no wonder your blog needs to take a backseat! Thank you for sharing your idyllic life...yes, I know...we only get to see all the beauty while you're out their labouring daily ;)

When mother nature gets this busy, it's hard not to get caught up in it. Lovely shots, as ever.

With all the beauty you have around you I would be outside soaking it up too, blogs will wait.

Sometimes pictures can say so much, but so often it is that combination of image and word that is truly wonderful. In that way the internet has taken us back and recreated a new golden world of photo-journalism.

I am so jealous of your wisteria and pink dogwood. All are beautiful!

Spring has me in her clutches too, but cautiously. They are calling for snow flurries here this weekend.

Now I know that it's wysteria growing all around us. It's beautiful but I couldn't figure out why I didn't smell lilac when I thought that's what it was. Thanks!!

Oh, I remember jacarandas! There was one in my grandparents' back yard.

Desiree -- wisteria's lovely but awfully exuberant. I love it too.

So true, Alan -- a DIY cultural renaissance.

If one has cows, one of them MUST be names Marigold! :) It's really looking quite beautiful up in the mountains. Will need to make a trip there soon.
