Oh I am in love with your Easter celebrations. Just look at the children.. the eggs.. the musicians! I am really envious. I'm determined to have easter in the spring. I'm having autumn ANZAC and Halloween instead and ignoring easter. I want to have easter like you in the springtime!!
Vicki, what an epic week-end---totally captures the spirit of the mountains, family, and friends---Idyllic! Quite a contrast to my quiet day, which was equally fun. The photo of the tyke in green wellies was superb! Deana the Queena
It was, perhaps, the most pleasant Easter celebration we've had in the thirty four years we've been having the party. A lot of the little ones were brought by parents who had once been toddlers hunting eggs at our party. Second generation music-makers too!
Yes, Easter seems so tied to Spring -- the whole rebirth/resurrection thing -- we aren't religious people and we treat Easter as a celebration of Spring.
Yes, Joan, they're real hard-coked egs that ave been dyed -- mostly. Some folks brought plastic eggs with candy inside.
Today is clean up -- but we had so much good help that it was quickly done. I'm off to do a reading this evening and will get back to blog visiting very soon.
I've looked at all your photos and almost felt like I was there. Also there were lots of characters from your books too. I'm glad to see there are still some hippies thriving in them thar hills! Lovely pictures, lovely time was had by all, I'm sure. I bet you were tired afterwards?
Oh, I would have loved to be there with my guitar! Now I'm glad I dragged it to Florida with me because you never know when someone might want to hear some good "hill pickin'" or bluegrass.
