Another April Fool's Joke?

We awoke yesterday to a light skift of snow ... on  the lilacs
and on the Kousa dogwood ...
The flowering quince was frosted ...
l
But the snow disappeared with the morning sun, leaving no damage to any of the blossoms.

Apparently, Mother Nature was just fooling with us.

So glad the plants weren't damaged. Mother nature doesn't play fair does she!

It seems Mother Nature is constantly playing tricks on us in this area.

Great pictures!

I sat my "Christmas pines" out to early and the ends of the branches have turned brown. I'm so disspointed. April showers came our way here in Hoosierland mixed with just a little snow. Your pics are unusual and beautiful;)
Have a great weekend!

Lovely photos! Getting Blogger back is such a relief, isn't it! Well worth waiting for though! It's snowing here as I write! And alternately raining hard! Yuck!

Have a lovely day, dear lady!

That was a close call! I didn't allow myself a sigh of relief until about mid afternoon - but fortunately everything seems to have fared just fine.

That kind of April Fools you can do without!

That last photo is breathtaking.

Today I put the snow shovel in the shed for the season. Hopefully Mother Nature won't take that as a sign to send us one last dusting of snow.

Here's to warmer weather!

Hi Vicki, Thank you for stopping by to say hi and for leaving your comment. Mother nature is such a trickster, I am always so apprehensive when a cold spell comes in over night, or a heavy frost is coupled with morning sun, I hold my breath to check the new buds of palest green. Big hugs, Margie.

Welllll...it sort of serves you right, lol. I'm glad nothing was damaged by the snow.

I love that last photo. What I wouldn't give for a view like you have from your dining room window!

It turned out to be a beautiful day today--though still a tad chilly. Hoping to get some outside stuff done tomorrow.

We'll still probably have another light snow before the month's over...

I remember an event like that, at the beginning of April, in New York City: Washington Square was awash in magnolia and daffodils, all covered in snow in the morning. And it continued to snow all day. I had to buy warmer shoes!
