All Day Birthday

From early morning with Eggs Benedict and Mimosas . . . to evening moonrise with Filet Mignon with Red Wine sauce,  stuffed potatoes, broccoli with Bernaise . . .

And probably the most decadent cake around -- four chocolate layers with raspberry jam between the layers and chocolate frosting and whipped cream on the outside --
we celebrated John's birthday yesterday!
Maybe just a little tea and plain toast today . . .

Brian is right -- in recovery today after all the food and drink. Maybe time to go sit in the sun a while.

A very Happy Birthday to John - lucky guy that he is.

Everything sounds so yummy. I once heard that there are no calories in birthday cakes. I'm certain that is true.

Such a party! Such a cake! Happy birthday John. I have been happily catching up on missed posts. Lovely Autumn scenes. I have a quiet Labour Day Monday today..I am going to snuggle up and finish Signs in the Blood. I've been reading it a bit piecemeal because of bookclub reading etc. But today I am totally engrossed...and loving it.
The WV is pagician.. I think that might mean you Vicki!

Wow what a gorgeous cake! Sounds like you have a perfect birthday for John. Oh and the pictures of your new calf are really great. I am a big animal lover so I also love the picture of your tuxedo kitty.

Thank you so much from your feedback on my story Framescape. I just posted installment 2. I work on the plot every morning before anyone wakes up. I think this is not going to be a short story. I am really excited about where I am taking this story.

Vicki, that photo of the moon is incredibly beautiful.

The photos and descriptions of the dinner and cake made my mouth water. What a feast!
