On a Misty Morning

Quick shots from 8am to 8:45-- as I followed John to the Walnut Service Center where he left his truck and back home again.

'They' say that for every fog in August, there'll be a snow in winter. Stand by for a snowy season.

We have a heavy mist this morning here. Heading out to walk in it at 9 am with a walking group.

It's been misty here too. It reminds us that autumn is coming.

Both fig and snow can make for good photos. 😀

A strong Du Maurier vibe in these photos. Love the wild turkeys. We actually have some in this area, living in Great Falls Park up the road. They know it's their place, and if they're on the little road to the falls overlook they will stare down cars rather than get out of the way.

Odd -- like Sandra Parshall, I felt a sort of "Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again" vibe, too. Very atmospheric photos, Vicki -- thank you for sharing. (And I hope nothing is too drastically wrong with John's truck.)

Re truck--the repairs are cheaper than buying a new truck but still a bit shocking...

Great foggy photos...I've started driving through the mountain fogs/clouds and about 10 miles along, there is sunshine and no fog...it just disappeared. These capture the still mood of fog.
