Despite looking as if Josie's arrival was imminent, last night Claui prepared an amazing feast for the grandparents-to-be.
It was inspired by a dish at an Asheville Middle Eastern restaurant -- grilled chicken, zucchini, onions and peppers, atop a salad with tomatoes and avocados, accompanied by a potato pancake and lentils and garnished with pomegranate seeds, sumac, and a yogurt based sauce
Oh, my, it was good!
We are all so looking forward to Josie's arrival!

You are very lucky to be so included in the new arrival Vicki. We are also expecting a grandchild in June, but sadly we are too far away to be included. However we keep in touch regularly and look forward to Maren's arrival. I can't wait to see Josie. There is nothing like a new baby to bring joy into the family.
Claui delivered a fine meal.
It's a good thing...having something immediate to do while waiting. Can't tackle any long term projects when the big one is already in the works, but there are those last few days of waiting when time seems to hang like melting ice cycles. And what yummy food!
That dinner sounds delicious! And oh! how that last month of pregnancy dragged on . . and on . . . and on.
And it's a treat for the eyes as well. Hope the waiting is over soon.
Due date is May 13 -- we'll see!
The meal looked delicious and such a pleasure knowing your all gathered close for the big event. I so love the baby's name. xx
Anticipation!!! You're so very lucky to be close by. And such a yummy looking meal.
Oh my goodness Vicki, what a feast Claui prepared for you all. Every ingredient sounded so delicious and the combination...fabuloso!
You all will soon have a very special May Day to celebrate! xo
So nice to be able to share the event!
