I just checked the weather in your area and can't believe it's cold here!

Meant "colder" here!

nice....the fog always adds mystery for me....that single strand of lights is a cool shot against the grey skies...we are in rain right now...becoming ice tomorrow...

Loved the first shot especially, so evocative, could be a cue for a story.
Hoping for no ice storm tomorrow; certainly would put a kibosh on the Toe R
iver Studio Tour for us tomorrow. Que sera, sera.

Similar cloud patterns around here yesterday, chased by strong winds.

Fog and mist ...Mysteries .
I 'm sure that ghosts are ready to appear - while I'm looking at your first picture

Vicki, those photographs do cast a sort of spell with their muted light and sense of absolute quiet.

The picture with the single string of colored light bulbs and the tree is a beauty.

Inquiring reader must ask if the kittens seem to be affected by changes in the weather or amount of natural sunlight?

If we were in FL I'd expect tornado warnings...heavy.

Frances, the kittehs do seem to sleep more than usual on these grey days. When it's sunny, of course, they get on the dining table to work on their tans.

Yesterday was unseasonably warm and foggy all morning. It rained last night and the temps have dropped -- but not all that much. Good day to clean the refrigerator -- I've been putting that little chore off far too long --- and bake bread and make some soup.

That picture with the Christmas lights -- I was sitting in the car in the Bojangles parking lot, having a Cajun filet sandwich for lunch, and there was a Christmas tree lot just next door. I didn't even have to get out of the car.

I did get out though for the pictures on the highway between Marshall and Weaverville...

"Forboding" is such a great word. The photos are wonderfully created.

So, did the storm happen? It looks a bit dire; still beautiful, of course.
About the sort of day I would plan to spend at home by the fire.

No store as yet -- a bit of rain and cooler temperatures... I AM sitting by the fire enjoying after lunch coffee as the leftover Thanksgiving turkey simmers in a stockpot...Not a fit day out for man nor beast ...

No storm is what I meant to say.
