Words and pictures from the author of And the Crows Took Their Eyes as well as the Elizabeth Goodweather Appalachian Mysteries . . .
That looks like a nice place to spend some time contemplating!
So beautiful! This is the lake we have visited together, isn't it?Friends of mine are right now in Charleston, SC, and loving it.
Looks like a nice spot to contemplate life.Sam
I think I need another fix of Vicki’s Elizabeth. Joining your pictures with E’s words makes Asheville and the Appalachians come more alive than ever.
imagine it is a little cold out by the water right now...still it is beautiful...
Gorgeous, and I'm sure the neighbors enjoy it a lot...I have only driven past it.
Pretty Lake Vicky, I remember Lake Lure and Lake Summit? around that area. There was a lake in Hendersonville area called Laurel Park Lake I use to swim in my youth.
Very pretty scenery Vicki. I love the lake. The water does look cold though!
Great pictures, Vicki. And the new red blog background is very seasonal!
have the local authorities removed all of the beavers....for their own goodseems to be what they do Hope not....nice place
