Beautiful. Cemeteries invite reflection, don't they, and that's what I feel in your post, with those glimpses of sun through the autumn foliage.

Beautiful serenity...perfect for reflection...too bad our cemeteries are neglected so often. We should use them as they do in much of Europe...part of the greenspace and an addition to daily life of the town.

Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta is a beautiful historic cemetery that is used as greenspace, essentially a park. It's the resting place of Gone with the Wind author Margaret Mitchell and many other notables. Has tours every weekend, concerts, a Victorian Sunday complete with costumes of the era. If you enjoy visiting cemeteries, this is one not to miss.
