And Now for Something Cool . . .

A hot day is forecast and even hotter on the weekend...

I thought it might be nice to remember . . .

Seasons change. . .

Water freezes, flows, dries up, and flows again . . .

Thus, too shall pass. . .

I feel cooler already . . .

It's not so much a question of the white stuff here in the UK, just now. But we do have plenty of the wet stuff. Hooray for the great British summer!

Great idea! I think I'll go rent Dr. Zhivago and watch it as the thermometer outside climbs to 101 today! Jim

Sometimes thinking back is a good one. Heat wave here. 108 yesterday. More of the same until the weekend. Then supposed to cool down to 100 :o

So nice...maybe you could post some freeze every week- just to cool us off. I am sick of the 90+ degree weather already.

Vicki, Thanks so much for the reminder. I'm thinking I brought this heat from SC ☺ My sister, in Asheville keeps reminding me to just hang on, so hanging on under all the fans. ~♥~

Well, yes, this too shall pass.
And some days I'd be happy to think about the icy cold outside/snug warm inside of winter.
But today is Friday in June and I'm home in Heaven on the Hill and I wouldn't trade any part of that for the chill of winter.

All you Carolina - Tennessee folks, I feel for you. BUT, let me tell you - at least you have some hope of respite between now and October / November. This is unusual weather for you. This is te norm for us - what we Dallas folks live with from April until (some years) November. A high pressure systems sits down on our head every year and doesn't budge for weeks and weeks and months. The snow looks so lovely. We are vacationing in NC this October and I simply cannot wait! Thanks, Vicki, for showing us all the faces of your home. And I fuss about the weather, but I do dearly love Texas. I just miss having honest-to-god SEASONS! Just sayin...

Thank you, Vicki, for bringing a bit of calm and cool to NYC, where it's getting pretty darn warm tonight.

(Traditionally, July 4 marks a cooling trend, and I so hope that this year will keep to that trend.)
