Dear Sen./Rep.________,
As the billionaire wrecking crew and the ship of fools that is the Cabinet, headed by the Golfer in Chief, continue to hollow out our government, I am at a loss to understand how men and women of conscience can stand by and allow the Executive Branch to manufacture emergencies that allow them supreme power.
A Department of "Justice" that deports a legal resident through an administrative error then refuses to bring him back...
Massive cuts to the Social Security Administration that have resulted in poor to no service for frantic seniors, fearful of losing vital payments. . . .
Ridiculous punitive tariffs that will hurt all consumers and tragically lower the standing of the USA in world opinion . . .
Measles epidemics; abandonment of long time allies; an FDA that mustn't use words like 'water' or 'climate' ; a military that can't talk about minorities or women; a financial stranglehold on free speech at our universities . . .
I could go on but your intern has probably stopped reading.
But, as usual, I'd like to know what YOU plan to do about all this.
Your disgusted constituent

You wonder what they think when they get mail like this.
You said it! Our crazy governments these days just keep getting weirder and weirder. I include our state representatives as well. May we survive this dark time.
When you finally get a response please publish it.
Have you thought about sending this one to your local paper? It's quite good.
They don't read their mail or hear the voice messages. That's all handled by staff. The staff's job is to count how many messages/calls they receive on a particular subject and whether they are negative or positive. Our finely honed words will never be seen or heard by the people who represent us.
It's better to send your eloquent words to a newsletter, which might publish it. Our representatives, including the ones who do the right thing, never read their mail. Their staffs just count the number of contacts on given topics and report the tallies to the boss.
